I got a thank you card in the mail over the weekend from the Young Muslims of Peoria. When the Islamic Center of Peoria was spray painted with neo-Nazi graffiti, I wrote a letter to express my support for them. I am so touched by their gesture to recognize kindness with kindness. Here’s the message they shared.

Our dear neighbor and friend,

Many beautiful things cannot be seen or touched. They are felt within the hearts. And what you’ve done for our community is one of them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
